One for truckers: Cornwall is not Poldark

Went to help my truck mechanic brother in law on Friday to get a truck ready for Monday MOT and sale. He always helps me with my Mopars but Commers are more his thing. He was doing a rewire and didnt have the time to rub down, prep and spray the bumper and wheel arch trim.

So no Cornwall is not Poldark - in that we're not walking around in beautiful scenery with chiselled chests - but it is like working in the dark ages. Let's just say JC won't have any competition :) Rain dripping through holes in the corrugated whats-left-of-a-roof meant I had one place to avoid splashes. Wind howling took the power out every so often.........compressor for the spray gun was fine but it got to the point I had to deploy the A pillar spotlights of the Charger to give me some light to finish the job.

But that's what real Cornwall is.....got some very hard working, skilled people down here working in less than ideal conditions for not a lot. Better stop rant now.....

Nice old lorry, or waggon as we say oop here. Remember Tilcon having Commers around here on tipper work. Screaming 2 strokes.

A guy round here had the only Commer truck with a TS4 prototype 4cyl engine.

How come Cornish sheds have the luxury of roofs?
