My Charger is stored in a container at the moment, but couldn't resist taking a look today and firing it up!

Took my Mopar out for a run; bit tricky with 60 mph winds, but nice just to have a dry day to drive it. Dont lock mineup for winter, too long!

Its amazing just how small a 20ft container is when theres a Charger in it.

Unfortunately I can't drive it at the mo' as it seems to have broken the crankshaft rear seal. When its running it deposits large amounts of oil on the floor!

Welcome to my world.

We had 4 attempts to get it to seal on the race car.
Mr Billladeau has the recipe for this fix.

I took the Charger out today to the Local Buster Lang meet, It look's small against this Country Squire.

(slightly off topic) - I love the stance on Dereks car.
Thinking I took mine too low at the back now - I have a very level stance but that very subtle rake is about right I think. While the axle is out I'm gonna knock it up an inch - Car looks great Derek.

Jas - Are you posting from inside the crate ? Cant see how you would have got out...

Quiz question please - are there any condensation issues using these containers as storage? I have potential use of one but heard conflicting reports about condensation when doors sealed for long periods.

I certainly wouldn't use a container to store my car unless some form of ventilation was provided top and bottom,they sweat really badly after a cold night and then the sun coming out,literally water running down the walls.

I have my Dodge in an outdoor Carcoon at the moment and it does a decent job of keeping moisture out I think but you need to be near enough to power and ideally semi sheltered

If you have power there id be be putting a dehumidifier in the container, as even though it may not leak theres always condensation in these cold temps, or open the doors once a week.
Otherwise you will have mould which always starts on the seatbelts for some reason and probably worse under the car what you cant see
Ive got a 40 x 50 steel shed and I get a couple of pints of water PER day out of the dehumidifer at this time of year and i stopped putting good cars in the containers I have

Have had the container for a couple of years now. It has two small vents built into it on each side. Only ever had very slight condensation, it does get very warm in the summer though and makes the fuel evaporate, never enter it with anyone who smokes!

At the time it was my only option as a lot cheaper than building a garage.
