Off to see Whitesnake and Def Leppard tonght in Manchester Arena.
Should be great so long as neither play anything they recorded after about 1984

Blimey it's been a while since we've seen those two!
I hope DC's voice is ok - last I heard (a year or more ago?), he'd pretty much lost it...

Yeah he struggled, still very powerful with the notes he could hit though!
He was a bit slow on his feet too, I think the good times have caught up with him His band were good, amazing drum solo long enough for Dave to have a little lie down...
We got there late unfortunately so missed the support.
Def Leppard thankfully only did a couple of later tracks, to a polite ripple... They played almost all of Hysteria, then a couple off Pyromania just for me They sounded a bit shaky tbh, poor backing harmonies, a few bum notes, etc. Like they needed more rehearsal ? Rick Savages drumming was great though, couldn't fault him!

Thanks for the report tho Paul
I'm surprised Def Leppard dint push the newer stuff tho - they always talk it up a lot when I hear them talk about it on the radio - as if they believe it's as good as the older stuff.
My last gig was last Saturday - Clutch at Brixton Academy. They were due to play Shepherds Bush Empire but they had to swap venues at the last minute (well, a few days in advance) cos a routine check on the building showed the roof wasn't safe!
Good job they did swap cos Clutch would have brought that old rickety roof down!! Their fans are a rowdy bunch
