Hi I have a 72 B body, I am tinkering around underneath, and there is a huge lump of cast iron bolted up to the under side of the trans tunnel, I guess to damp vibration.....do I need this? thanks, Scotty

I'm not entirely sure what what it's purpose is, but I've removed one before with no ill effects.
