yay! It appears that i got away with it

In June I did 100mph on the M25...didn't mean to, its a bloody Audi they just do that and quietly when you are not looking.
I was driving away from under taking loons and became a loony myself
NIP arrived, I'm not a politician or a footballer so I said YES I was the driver
heard nothing so I emailed in October and asked did you get my form?
when are you going to serve the court with papers? I don't want to be fined for not turning up in court...a date would be great so I can plan a day off and transport because obviously I can't drive there?...anything you can do to assist me in planning for the inevitable gratefully accepted, blaa, blaa, blaa, you are a lovely woman etc
got a response saying if you don't get a summons in the next 2 weeks let us know.
so I didn't and I didn't
don't want to mug myself off twice do I?
6 months past on 28 December from day of the incident
6 months past on the 12th of Jan since they must have had my NIP form
so today with a week or so just to make sure I enquired about my day in court
response
I can find no record of us having laid summons papers with the court
consider the matter closed.......
6 months of worry
could have been 6 points and up to £2500 or a Ban i.e very much to worry about when insurance for the next 3-4 years is taken into account
a weight off my shoulders indeed
I didn't think we employed the mind/waiting games associated with death row in the UK but it appears we do.
YeeeeeeeHaaaaaa
tonight I might even drive home at 71 MPH
I'm hoping my enquiry in October resulted in my paperwork being left on top of a filing cabinet somewhere... but chances are the system is just so full of hapless fools like myself that they are concentrating on something else
I might move to Kent they seem most accommodating folk
and to top it off I am now probably a safer driver in the eyes of the Law
although previously I rarely used my brakes, forward planning, 1000 yard stare, driving into space not stamping on my brakes because the guy in front did, because I can see what the guys in front of him are doing.
I'm now a bit of a see camera and stamp regardless of speed or speeding, kinda guy.
so I will probably cause more accidents....but screw them if they can't stop fast enough that's their fault, shouldn't be driving so close.
previously your attention would not have been drawn by much anything I did on the Motorway.
I would have drifted past at 70-80 with little impact on your life.
You will now all hate me, because I'm just like a golfer with the jitters, my foot is ready to STAMP ON THE BRAKES whenever I see anything yellow or indeed at an angle off the side of a gantry painted the same colour as the sky
and I spend my life overtaking trucks stuck at 57 MPH
getting stuck behind middle lane hogs at 60 MPH whilst being overtaken by coaches flying down the outside at 70
Then bouncing out into the outside lane
then swinging back in across two lanes of traffic to take up my rightful place in the dips worn into inside lane at 69.5 mph (gps not speedo)
prior to my experience I drove home at about 80 in the outside lane pulling to one side if Mr Big Balls and full beam needed to get past
now I execute lane changes almost constantly varying my speed from 40 MPH to 70 MPH and back over and over again.
I'm using more fuel
I may therefore be emitting more pollutants
but I'm not speeding
I'll happily admit I did wrong but I can't help feeling something is wrong.
