Yep, I know the feeling, old brittle bones.

Funnily enough I am just fitting a kick start conversion to my 1340cc Shovel....probably my latest dumb idea in a long list of my dumb ideas.......

That is a cracker Pete....very nice indeed!

I had a 70s XL500 a few years ago and broke my ankle trying to kick start it. Never mastered it and got so sick of being spat off her that I sold her. I should have known because the guy I bought it off was scared to kick it over aswell....doh.

There is a knack because the guy who bought it off me turned up in trainers, sat across it and with a couple of licks of his lips and a squint up at the clouds while he found the 'sweet spot', he fired her up first kick!

Have fun Pete and thanks for the pics, they really give us a feel for what it will look like when you have dropped it on the green lanes :D

cheers Steve :thumbright:

I can remember my mate totally exhausting himself kicking over his 850 Interstate, only to find that some bright spark had deliberately thrown the Kill switch on.

Oh, how we laughed.
