Don't know if anyone on here uses them, but be very careful. I have just been on the phone to them for half an hour, to cancel my insurance, and surprise surprise, my cancellation 'fee' is exactly the same as my 6 month refund!!!!! Thanks for nothing, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask!

Screw that, Whenever I take out any policy now, classic or not I state I will only take out the policy if admin fees are never applied. Change of car/cancel policy = win.

I cancelled a classic bike policy with RH recently and they refunded the unused part of the premium...
Only about £4.50 but a surprise nonetheless.

Had excactly the same problem with my Roadrunner. After we moved and lost my garages I have put the car with a neighbour in a safe locked garage, the same street as where I have lived for 16 years. They sent me a letter to say they refuse to insure the car futher and I lost 6 months of premium paid in advance
Never again will I deal with Lancaster…

Their reviews make good reading, there's plenty on a google search and not many have good word for them.

Lancaster USED to be excellent. It was set up by a pal of mine, Roche Bentley, the same chap who started the MGOC back in the 70's. When he still owned the company it was fantastic - any hint of an issue and you could drop him an email and he'd have it sorted.
Unfortunately since he sold it on they've just been getting worse and worse. I swapped an MGB GT last year for another - same year, same spec, two identical cars save for the registration plate and the colour. They wanted £37 to swap it over? For what? A two minute job for someone to tap something into a computer and email out a new certificate? They'll not post them anymore unless you hand over a fiver. As a self-employed individual the concept of overheads isn't lost on me, but neither is the concept of fairness…
I’ve voted with my feet anyway. Over the last 10 years it’s not been unusual for us to have anywhere up to 5 policies with them a year but they’ve lost our business now. Since Roche sold up it’s become a joke.
