No, not the Plym or Dodge..
I've got a guy interested in my daily runabout, he lives in Devon and can't make it up to Herts to view the car.
He's seen plenty of pics, we've agreed a price and he's suggested the following:

I'll bank transfer a deposit to you if that is ok.
I was thinking of getting the car picked up by one of those transport companies you an use on e bay as I have had a reasonable quote back. Would this be acceptable to you? The benefit of this is that I can pay by bank transfer and then when it is cleared pick up the car so it is not with you an extra 3 weeks.

If he's happy to do this then I don't see a problem, can any of you experienced sellers out there forsee any problems with this?
And I was wondering what's best to do with the V5, I suppose the part that stays with the car will be replaced anyway once I've sent off the seller's portion? So there's no need to hide it within the car or post separately?

Any thoughts gratefully received.
ta, Stu.

I believe CHAPS payments these days are pretty much instantaneous and cannot be reversed.

Drop a call to your bank to confirm.........but that's how I've paid for cars before with no issue!!!! :thumbright:

I've taken bank transfers for several cars over the last three years and it's been fine. Historically my attitude has always been very old school "cash in my hands or no deal".
Online banking isn't what it was 10, even 5 years ago.
Faster payment is instantaneous and from what I've gathered once you've got the funds you've got them.

Thanks guys, I popped into the bank & they said a standard money transfer would be fine. When she mentioned 'apps' to check the funds I laughed. My phone aint that smart. Cue more nagging from my daughter..
Regarding the transport I thought if I get some pics of it leaving my place in 1 piece, then it's down to the buyer.

Get pics on day of transport. I'd then get pics of it fully loaded and ready to leave in one piece.

About as thorough as you can be and should halt any potential saftness.
