Anyone had a convertible top replaced in the UK, if so can you recommend anywhere please? My Fury is going to need one soon and I'd rather a specialist did it.

I did mine myself Will. It is a bit time consuming but if you are careful you can do it fine.

Mine lasted over 8 years and is still in excellent condition, although I'll probably have to do it again because it needs to be black now instead of white :(. I have compared it to a few professional jobs over the years and to be honest it was better than most - not because I was better at it than them, but because I took my time to do a good job, and with Mopar hoods you need to fit it, then remove it and adjust, repeat as necessary.

Depends on how much time you have! I'd be interested to know how much they'd charge to fit one though, I'm not exactly flush with time myself!
(I would definitely buy the top in the US whoever fits it.)

I used Hoods galore about 14 years ago on my 64 Malibu SS, they did a great job, but as I say It was a long time ago.

Cheers! Just rang em. I also bought a hood last night off a popular auction site in USA. Hoods galore said they can install it for me no probs for ?250 . Doesnt sound horrendous. What do you think?

Price to supply the hood too would be ?600 all in by the way.

Hmmm, not bad maybe better than I expected.....still a lot of dosh though. I reckon it would probably take you a few days to do if it went to plan. you pays your money, you takes your choice!

One thing that is nice is being able to repaint (or repair rust - AMHIK!) the frame when the top is off. They might let you take the top off yourself (easy & quick!) do any frame work, then they fit the top?

They might want the old top though to get a start on where to fit the staples...

When they did mine they phoned me to tell me that the frame needed welding along the top front and asked if I wanted them to do it or did i want to take it away and do it myself. I collected it and did it myself, then took it back two days later, they where fine about it
