What do you think

The latter having been kindly lent to me by Pete W...What a lovely chap

I've been wanting to change my wheels for years and keep hitting a wall.

Always thought the car needed a tougher looking contrasting wheel to toughen it up a bit

Before and after....Thoughts

Before no doubt about it they may be a little bit poofta ish but still much better than them steel things imho, if you want it to look hard you either need the regular grey spoke 15" are or a set of early daisy mags

I'm loving the Steels and red-lines. They need to be wider though, much wider.

What are the before wheels and sizes?

Looks great with both, steels look meaner.

I dont think it loooks meaner it looks dark like there is nothing there, another wheel that would suit it is a proper 70,s highley polished slot mag,,

I'm with Duncan on this one, the Black steels do nothing for your Charger Lee. IMHO.

I like the black steels but as said they need to be a lot wider, I like the look and stance the before wheels give the car but not keen on the chrome therefore I would have to compromise and have the before wheels painted black or at least the centres.

It's a lovely looking car either way.

I'm not really a fan of the first style and the 2nd set look like they need a set of hubcaps to Bananarama! off. Colour coded steelies with hubcaps also looks good too IMHO, although that might be a bit much on a yellow car?

You could always type "yellow 68 charger" into google images and see if something on there catches your eye?

Of the two....id have to say that the TT2s look better.

If you got 8 inch steels with big meats on and had them body coloured with the ole dogs in the center........it could make one he'll of a difference. :thumbright:

Daisy mags always look great on a Charger too........ 8-)

A good problem to have......beautiful car! =P~

I get what you mean, maybe if the tyre stripe was white and the wheels grey to make them stand out?

You could put square wheels on it and it would still look good it's a charger ! :thumbright:

TT2's are too bling, the black steels are not wide enough and look a bit lost. An aluminium rim that is more satin than mirror polished would look much better, or even something vintage like Cragers or Keystone Klassics.

OK...Great feedback

My thoughts are that the TT's are too pale with the pale colour of the car....there's no contrast

Pictures here aren't great as in the daylight the steels look clearer

I've been wanting steels and bought a set a few years ago and have done nothing with them.......They are 8" and 10" jobbies but I'm getting confused on tyre sizes, But to me these would be the best look

I want the girly colour to look tougher

Another option would be to do something to the existing wheels...maybe paint the centres matt black with a peened rim or leave polished

These are 8's and 9.5" by 16

As you were

These were put on for a specific high profile show and we always knew that the Steel wheels (even at 235) were far too narrow, but that was not the point.

The Steels actually looked better in the flesh, but what DID look better in my opinion was the tyre height on the front fender.
The backs did look a bit sad, but that was BIG in 1969!!!!

Absolutely fantastic car 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

My feelings are, an A12 car was born with steel wheels no caps and for what ever reason look perfect that way even with the origoinal equipment tire people go over the top trying to get a big tire on the back with a steel rim and it looks wrong dodge/plymouth got it right,,
a charger on the other hand did not come with plain steels and look wrong with em,,

get some period early 70,s type wheel old school polyglass tires or similar it will look perfect,,
