We have a heavy duty steam cleaner at work and intend on taking a block in and giving it a good clean.

What should i treat it with once its dried to stop the rust.

I was thinking of spraying it with plenty of WD40????

Any other suggestions please?

Normally paint it internally and externally straight away, then grease the bores and journal areas. I don't usually degrease a block before I'm ready to build it.
