How much would it cost to re-chrome a bumper off a 75 dart?? Any ideas??

I think the challenge is finding a place that is able to take one that size.
It will be very expensive.

From what I've been told probably around £500. Even if you can find someone to do it they will probably bugger you about for months. The way things seem to be heading it won't be long before you won't be able to get anything chromed anywhere at any price.

I would think £350 for a good job thats down this way.

hmm i refuse to paint them the same colour as the body as it would just look ugly, if i could re-chrome each bumper i would happily splash out 350 quid but this price seems hopeful, 500 quid at a push although it would probably workout just as cheap if not cheaper importing from the states, cheers for the info peeps!!

I know this wont sit pretty with the die hards but how about the wrapping you can get for cars, you can get that in chrome and id imagine, would be a fraction of the cost.

Blue's about right with the cost, and chrome quality over here varies so much. A lot of UK chroming companies do industrial/commercial finishes and they look like crap and only last 5 minutes out in the open.
I would buy something like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-1975-1976- ... 9V&vxp=mtr
And get Ron at STS to ship it.

Another option is Fibreglass?

Bit far from you, but Arlesey Plating in Herts have a good reputation, they did my bumpers and some other stuff, very nice job, also IIRC quite a bit for Morgan before that. I don't think £350 is out of the question at all - depends on the bumper size , don't think a 75 Dart has much more chrome than my challenger?

I think a Dart bumper is double the size of a Challengers!

Confirmed. Epic job - I had over 20 bits done (including 2 bumpers). Few years ago, but they were great then. MattH may know more.
