Morning gang......need some help finding a socket set please.

My oldest lad, Scott, lives and works in North Carolina and is car mad (Jap stuff).

I want to get him a good quality large socket set like the Halfords ones a lot of us have but cant find the US equivalent on EBAY USA etc. A lifetime warranty etc would be great, again, like Halfords.

We would all love Snap On or Blue Point but I cant stretch to that unfortunately so looking in the $2-300 range. I want to find it in the US and get it sent to him internally.

I probably cant see the wood for the trees, anyone got any good links or advice please, Im not coming up with anything at the mo

JC Whitney might be your best bet, not sure what quality lines they carry, I believe Craftsman is good stuff. You might also consider buying a selection of tools instead, sets tend to contain things you never use and of course you are paying for that.

I've always found Sears Craftsman to be very nice.

Craftsman is the best bang for the buck,and they will replace anything that breaks,and there are stores everywhere, so Sears is the place for decent quality

another vote for Sears / Craftsman here too, my brother lives in Texas and has Craftsman tools

Blue, thanks for the advice mate.....he has lots of individual tools and has specifically asked for a socket set that he can just keep in the back of the car and use when he is out and about with his car club
