Wow small world, the Skyline dealer was on Colorado Blvd, and is seen in the movie Vanishing Point, it was a main dealership for years

I really don't understand how anyone ends up with that many cars just sitting and rusting away on their property

We have so much space out here, this not only does not surprise me, but it would take a very long time to scour these old farms out in eastern Colorado, there thousands of them, and they are in very small towns,so they get un noticed, and some of them, they buy, then drive them, they break to far from a shop, so they go and just by another car, (sometimes 2 if they had a good year)and toss the old one in the barn, let em sit and rot

Yea living here, and watching the movie, stopping it every 2 minutes, and studying where they filmed, there are not alot of land marks left, I know of one area where Kowalski bought the speed, it is right down the street from Skyline (now a chilis)off the boulevard ,and the building still stand, they have been since renovated, but still there ;)
