In case you did not see the information in "Connected":

I am pleased to announce that the MMA has negotiated a Club deal with “Brentacre” insurance. Brentacre is a family run Broker business that has been operating since 1987, and they only use UK Insurers to underwrite their policies.
The main benefits to our members are:

• 15% club discount – available to MMA members only
• Comprehensive and laid up cover available
• Agreed Values (Agreed between the MMA Reps and Brentacre)
• Unlimited mileage
• All modifications covered – Premiums are based on the value of the car and BHP
• Free legal protection
• Breakdown cover available
• Multi vehicle policies available
• Drivers 21-75 - Brentacre can quote drivers from age 19 if they have enough experience, and over 75 if they are a long standing owner/member

The MMA committee sincerely hopes that this tie up with Brentacre will be a winner for our members, and once again demonstrates the benefit of MMA Membership, regardless of the car being a Mopar. Regretfully, they are not in a position to quote for Motorcycles as this is not their core business.
Please remember that this arrangement is early days and there may be some teething troubles, especially as Brentacre are changing over to a new internal electronic system.
However, we as a Committee are keen to make this a long term relationship and will work hard with Brentacre to resolve any problems, so your feedback is appreciated.
At the end of the day both the MMA Committee and Brentacre appreciate that one of the main considerations at insurance renewal time is the cost of the policy, so we will see how this goes.
However, there are other factors to take into account when buying insurance for a rare and specialised vehicle, such as Agreed Value, cost of Excesses, and fundamentally the support you get if you are unfortunate enough to make a claim; so we hope these aspects prove to be favourable to our members.

I hope this arrangement proves beneficial to MMA Members.

Thanks

Pete and the MMA Committee

Just spoke to them on the phone, got a good quote but..

they want me to take out the quote before its been through their value system. Surely it needs to be valued before they can give an accurate price?

I forgot to ask if the quote included the MMA discount, do they require membership number?

Thanks :)

They should check you are an MMA member and quote accordingly. Worth double checking they have included the discount.

Just used Brentacre to get the Land Rover Ambulance covered. Very helpful, good price (£90 for 1500 miles), as RH wouldn't cover it without it being registered, and it needs to be insured to get it registered.
Brentacre have provided 30 days cover on the chassis number so hopefully we will get the DVLA issued number soon and get it all properly sorted.

I then suggested them to a friend with a 70's Peugeot van (commercial use, mobile café) and they were quoted about £300 instead of £1500 from another of the classic insurers, so well worth giving Brentacre a try.

Just realized this thread existed, went with Brentacre this year, instead of renewing with flux. Got a good deal, was quoted a few months back £700 a year with them. Got a new quote when it was time to renew, £490 a year, 22, 4k miles on the clock. Not as good as some people, but its less than what most people my age pay for a modern car.

Patience.....your low premium will come.

Why don't you make the trip to Swindon here on 6th April.

Mine is quoted at £110 as well for the Challenger, with unlimited mileage, agreed value and salvage retention. No driving of other cars so will need to check I have that on my daily.

Aussie Charger quote is £90, that is valued under £10K, so maybe why its cheaper.
I know most here would value it about the same as my Triumph Herald.

Yep, TonyO is your man. Can't remember cost though, sorry. His contact details are in the MMA mag or his website https://tova-uk.com/.
