Dave 999 will probably be able to identify it. I'm wondering if it's a Luminition conversion, I used one of their kits donkeys years ago but I can't remember now if it looked like that.

That's what I thought Blue looks like one to me put one on my MGB back in 1973

Not convinced it's lumenition, although the rotor arm does have a touch of the Lucarse about it .

I think Luminition was optical, and that one seems to be magnetic, so it's probably something else, Pertronix maybe?

Aussie Lucas and Bosch dizzys were hybrid
everything below the advance plate was the parent company everything above was Mopar under licence
so it would have a recognisably Mopar reluctor star and pickup if it was leccy
most VH chargers had points most VJ had electronic
so it looks like an early Petronix in a points dizzy
if they are magnets on the collar then in that black thing is a hall effect trigger
easy burnt out if you leave it stopped with ignition on and a magnet aligned with the trigger
if it was luminition I think there would be 3 wires coil + coil - and 12 volts for the little light beam
