Rust repairs....Valiant front guard?!

Looking for a front guard for my VG vip. Rust has destroyed the drivers side front guard and its time to do something about it! So im thinking that I either..
a) try to find a replacement, obviously trying to get an VG (VF?)guard over here is going to be near impossible
b) get the old one patched up, which is going to end up being more patch than guard and i can imagine will be expensive
c) try and source a guard from elsewhere, are any of the dodge/plymouth guards similar (apart from the indicator lenses are they the same shape)?
any ideas welcome, cheers guys!
