What sort of size oil cooler would be suitable for a 727 tranny?
Currently it goes into the radiator but I'm thinking of changing that.

This is what ive used on mine. Its a 904 not a 727 but cant see it needing anything different:
Its a Mocal 235mm 13 Row Unit.
Not had any issues (though I never did before).
Got it from here:

Good plan- my Truk had a Rover V8 with the same trans oil in the rad setup. The water rotted through to the trans fluid, killing the trans brake bands/ clutches, etc!
Thanks to Dunc for the repair and diagnosis I separated them and never looked back

I had the same as Dave on a 'built' transmission and it was/is fine.
Just couldn't afford all those lovely aeroquip hoses
Actually, couldn't squeeze them in the available space due to proximity of shifter linkage and TTI headers.

Have the larger one from B&M . With fan on it and temp sensor for fan on/off.
Smaller one was not enough when using the loud pedal heavily.
Think it's also depending on HP level
