Gutted to see you having problems on Saturday, Pete. I was looking forward to a yank pairing in amongst all the beemers and Audi's. We certainly stood out and the mutual interest between such different car/petrol heads was great.

Nearly forgot to say, I finally dropped into the 14's with what was an 18 second car four years ago. Ok, so it was only just (14.9218 @ 94.29)

Last years best was 15.9673 @ 88.57

60' times are still consistently 2.3 as they have been from four years ago.

Anyway, these aren't exactly earth shattering numbers I know and the Demon is not a strip car but as a complete novice I'm pleased with my first ever engine rebuild/freshen up without really spending any dollar. So much of this is as a result of all the help and advice generously given from the members of this club and on the forum.

Sorry, rambling on a bit, maybe should have started my own 'James doesn't have to put a cd on to pass the time up the track' thread

James.
Damn good to read about someone getting out there and having a play :thumbright:
It ain't all about being better than the next guy.
Its bloody good fun , doesn't break the bank ( can get addictive !), and far better than all that polishing and cruising lark :D

Good on ya mate 8-)

Very true, James and his family have achieved a good improvement without an excessive outlay and has improved an already nice car.
