What does this bit do ?

Was at a car show in Florida looking at a lovely 68 Charger and notice it had this propeller shaped bar running across the front valance in front of the radiator... Mine doesn't have this? Is it really that important....?

it bolts the bumper iron together and the bumper over riders bolt to that propeller part.

Ok I can see how that all ties in now thanks. Mine hasn't got any over riders so no need for the tie bar......cheers
