There were stories in the local press of Ford die hards driving their Fords to Broadmeadows to be there for the final day. I think they've kept the last Fords off the production line to stop them falling in the hands of private collectors.
Tis a shame, I grew up out that neck of the woods and had family who worked at the Broadmeadows plant for many years, even remember visiting it as a kid back in primary school !
