Hi all,

I keep my car in the following 'car tent'

which is inside a farm building. I have power and want to put in an electric heater to keep the damp out during the winter months. Would anyone have any recommendations.

Cheers

A dehumidifier would be best, rather than a heater.
The 'tent' would have to be sealed for it to work.

You could probably lash something up using a cheap B&Q dehumid unit. But it might be best left open in the barn - letting the cold but constantly moving air around the car?

As GJUK says, getting airflow seems the best way.

job sorted, yes not cheap but by the time you buy a decent dehumidifier + gazebo, it will work out not that much more

For me the carcoon is one of the best things you can buy for your motor. Richard.

Thanks,

I'll look to get a dehumidifier for the short term and invest in a carcoon when funds allow, they're a bit tasty on price but no doubt a good long term investment.

Had mine 5 years now. Just make sure your floor is insulated if we get a really cold winter. If its not put some old carpet / cardboard underneath otherwise the cold can come through the floor and you can get condensation underneath if you don't have the building insulated.

Only draw back is access in winter though I think they have changed the design to allow for this
