as the title suggests, i need to remove the bumpers for paint. The rear seems pretty simple and self explanatory. However, the front seems a lot more complex. I've looked around the net, and haven't found anything very helpful. The workshop manual is also not very helpful, with very few words on the subject, and a pretty rubbish diagram...

Please help, as i don't want to break/ruin anything.

I've taken a set off but it was donkeys years ago. It's just a case of having a look at it, it should be pretty obvious what you need to remove, these are not complicated cars. One warning though, these bumpers are heavy be prepared for that. I very much doubt you will be able to just remove the chrome part, you will need to remove the whole assembly and strip it on the floor I reckon.

On my 71 Plymouth there are 6 coach style bolts fairly short , 3 each side on the lower side which bolt to their steel brackets. I think its much the same but yours may have two bolts each side?
Maybe easier to take the grill out first to see see them and get access.
