Wheels and wilwood brakes

Just about finished swapping to wilwood discs from drums. Before fitting everything, thought I'd do a trial fit off the car. The new hub and disc fits in my wheel but the caliper doesn't, looks like I need about a half inch more clearance from the rim of the wheel
In fairness, there was a disclaimer that came with the kit advising that some 15inch wheels might not fit, so I knew it was a possibility. But, do I need to change to 16inch rims or can use a 15inch wheel with a different offset, would spacers solve the problem?
Anyone else had similar issues?
I'm using wolfrace slots at the moment

I would think Slots are physically thicker than, say, Steel wheels; so I would try to borrow a 15" Steel first.

I have never had a problem with Steel wheels or Weld Wheels and Wilwoods.

I never thought of that Pete, that they might be thicker than steel. I'm hoping to be able to try another design of 15 inch to see if it's just the slots that's the problem
