What did you get Rob?

Hi Adam it's a Lumix DMC-FZ1000. Used to be classed as a 'bridge' camera; now they're called 'super-zoom', I believe
It's already been superseded by the FZ2000 but that's nearer £1000 than the £500-odd that I paid for this
I did toy with the idea of a DSLR but really didn't want to have to have 2 or 3 different lenses to do what this one does.
Takes good quality video too, tho the sound could be better. I've just bought an external mic to use so will be trying that out next time I go to one of Andrews gigs

Yes Adam, that was the aim, to get a camera with a bigger sensor than my previous bridge camera, the fujifilm I've had for getting on for 10 years now. And having seen yours and Stu's Lumix in recent years I thought this one was a safe bet
