Not quite the same viewpoint but Chelsea Bridge Road has changed almost as much as the cars and clothing fashions

I remember that one, I was there in my first Anglia, possibly The first time I ever took it to Chelsea.

Awesome, really brings back the memories and the excitement - I wasn't old enough to drive so used to get the Underground to Sloane Square and walk the rest. I remember most of those cars, and particularly the burnouts!! Good times

Brilliant pics - I remember most of those cars. I used to go in my Humber Hawk, or my cousin's PA Cresta. Happy times!

These pics are from around 1980, I think I still had my 1972 Impala then done up as SFPD, happy times......Martin, thanks for all your hard work, it's so easy to add pics and I have thounsands of them.

That's what I was thinking! I was also there that night (again not in a car!). A friend of mine had an Anglia estate and I remember him getting pulled over - basically anything that 'looked' modified. They had inspection lamps, a 52-seater coach that bussed in inspectors, police etc, talk about a massive waste of public money!!

I was expecting to see me somewhere in the crowd there or maybe my jacked up Mk2 Cortina in the background ! Happy days and great to see those pics.

It sure was mate, I think just about everything got pulled over that night, and I didn't even know you then.
