Well we had hoped and planned to take the Satellite but the ongoing probs with the starter motor seem to be... ongoing. So it's not looking good for Speedfest next week

But at least we had old reliable to take to the monthly morning/lunchtime meet at The Goat. And Paul was taking 'Vlad', his fresh import - '61 Impala (Vlad The Impaler... geddit?

), and with Andy also in Neville... no explanation needed hopefully, we pretty much filled the car park when we got there around 10am.
Usual other suspects there too, and spoke to (Jem - help us here) the chap that bought Jem's CA Car of the Year winning gold 69 Charger, who also had his DB5 there

He's still a big fan of Mopars and was telling us about someone he knows (did say the name but I managed to forget it soon after... Chris or Colin...?) who has, amongst others, a 1970 hemi cuda tucked away with something like 300 miles on it, bought in 1977 and hardly seen the light of day since
I know these stories surface every now and then but this guy knows his Mopars and runs a garage in Hertford... maybe Blue knows this cuda too?

David Morris is the guy with the gold Charger, I don't about this Hemi Cuda, I will have to bend his ear about that. Good to see Pete Rivers out in the Willys, been many many years since he had anything on the road.

Thanks Blue, yes David Morris rings a bell. Pete had the Willys at the Thunder Road open day last year too so looks like he's getting a taste for it!
David said the guy with the hemi cuda also has an FF Jensen with a Keith Black hemi... presumably not a factory install, but you never know

Think I read about the Jenson years ago, really can't remember now. Quite possible Jenson themselves built it for whatever reason.
Thinking about it surely this must be the GKN car rather than a Jenson?
