Aren't they the same system? They are both recirculating ball with a pitman arm etc. The biggest difference to steering weight would be made by adjustments to the kingpin offset and the caster. I don't know which is the best way to go about it though.

Will the PS Pump assembly be a straight Bolt in ? It should be.
You may have to change pulleys over as well.
