Header paint ?

So thanks to Ben, I've got some new Doug Thorley headers for the Challenger which are currently painted black with a little surface rust.
What is the best to coat them in, I beleive header wrap will trap moisture and rot them out, I don't want to powder coat.
What do you use ??

Ceramic coating - I used (Maldon Shot Blasting)
They clean them first then coat them I think it was around £300 - helps with the heat aswell

When we had headers, we got them aluminium coated. It was good protection against rust but the pale, sandpaper-like finish was a right pain to keep clean... if you're interested in that kind of thing!
We would have got them ceramic coated but at the time (1990 ish?) I dont think anyone was doing that over here. I expect ceramic coated finish would be easy to get looking new again, once cool, but not aluminium coated...

Always have headers and the rest of the system aluminium sprayed at RFI. Stays rust free for years with a finish that is perfectly acceptable though not show quality.

Thank you gents, will look into those options. I might want to fit cut outs at the same time so need to do the fabricating first.

makes me think stove black/ stove paint would work...
you Bananarama! on and then get the stove up to 300*C and it kinda melts into the surface. used on cast iron wood burners etc
potentially cheaper than VHT but you have to factor in the cost of a brush

That might work, I have brushes!! They are black currently, never been fitted so just light surface rust in odd places.
