My starter motor has died its been a Bananarama! to replace it but I still think its the best American part I have ever had.

Firstly the Car is running a very complex EFI system with 16 injectors getting it running has been a nightmare!

The car has cranked and cranked when I say cranked I mean flattening Snapon jump packs. Melting stater relays. And the battery cables smoking hot!

This little stater and just cranked and cranked its little tits off. With everyone just waiting for it to die. It Must have cranked my car 5miles !
She finally died but one hell of a thing !!!

Powermaster Mastertorque Starters 9613 was the old one which is bottom of there range. (technically this should not fit with TTi headers but with one hammer hit she did !

New starter is Powermaster Mastertorque Starters 9523 which is officially the only power master to fit with TTi she did. really nice billet nose


I took the old unit apart and it was the solenoid that was faulty ! Not even the motor.

Spoke to the factory to a guy with a 512ci 440 100%

If your buying a starter Buy Powermaster !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ain't checked if it is the actual one you need but you can get them for very reasonable cost to repair the starter as a spare given it was originally £100s rather than £10s cost once shipped taxed and in your hand, it might be worthwhile

powermaster are selling a blue printed denso of the style used OEM on 318 and 360 magnum equipped dodge trucks, with their own uprated parts in it (as you note NICE billet in areas where it is needed or the motor body length and orientation altered to fit with headers )

as such standard japanese oem parts should fit as part of a fix and be pretty on par with what powermaster fitted

you will have burnt the contacts in the solenoid. but that is something plant operators do as well, and these are used on a lot of plant as well as many Japanese and Euro cars. hence parts are easy ish to get in the UK, if you are willing to fight through the /manufacturer/model number/chassis number reg number shenanigans to get through to a real person who is au fait with the product range and spare parts line, who you can talk to to buy the part you want.

a picture in some cases is worth a thousand words, and the postman delivers joy for about 25 quid.

but don't sling it away.... there will be people who need a nose clutch and pinion....
