Hi all.
After 25 ish years of self employed carpentry work, I've had enough !!!
Sick to the back teeth of architect , engineer , and client mistakes. Poor quality materials , and generally the way the industry as a whole seems to have lowered work standards to a point I can't live with. So................

For the last month I have been on trial at "Deranged " vehicles , and now have a full time job modifying vehicles ( mainly ford trucks ).
From an arch kit to full interior, sound system , engine tuning .......... You want it , we will do it.
Money isn't what I'm used to at present , but I'm happy. Staff are all petrol heads, and work as a team.

It's been in my head for a while , but carpentry was my life. For as Long as I can remember it was what I wanted to do.
Had no idea what else I could do !! Just took a gamble really.
As Morgan says, it's very scary, but then I can always go back if it doesn't work out.
Just so nice getting up and not having to worry about weather , materials turning up , problems with drawings , etc .........
And going home with no paper work to do.

I reckon both trucks will go, and I'll get a eurobox to do my to do my 16 miles daily ( possibly a bobber for the summer !),then have time for my Coronet

Nah. Jodie had a photo shoot with her new truck, I asked for a pic , and ended up with all the team doing a shoot. Bit of a laugh , and a bit of recognition for Deranged

On woodwork....anyone else remember woodwork at school? My lasting memory is using that weird square thing with a nail in it to mark wood and being given a huge chunk of wood, a plane and being told to make anything using both as long as it was a matchstick
