Hopefully Dave will be along soon with a simple answer

I had my steering box and pump re-conditioned then they sat for 6 months !

Now they are fitted but only have power to the left but nothing to the right - it all seems to have bled out fine don't even get the (under strain) noise when on full lock to the right ???

you you have a little manifold that the pipes go into on the box

under it is a toggle pin
it dictates the amount of assist 1 way or the other

position of manifold dictates its bias
undo bolts and tap it one way or the other fractions of an inch and see if it gets better

if it doesn't then one of the seals is wrong....and i don't know which...anton probably does as he fixed this for someone else
or
there is just something bigger wrong with the box
presume the rebuilders probably tested it so its more likely to be the position of the manifold

one of the steering posts on here has a picture from the parts book you can see the little toggle pin in that

All done and working both ways - not sure if its 100 % yet - I will let it bed in a bit first.
