Over gassing

I’ve got a few problems with over gassing my 440. I had a Holley 750 carb which I’m going to change for an Edelbrock thunder 650 avs. The intake manifold is an Edelbrock Torker 2. Which is single plane. Wrong intake for a stock motor I’ve been told.I did not put the carb or the manifold on the car they came with it. Advise really on which I’d the best intake manifold for a stock car. Cheers
