Vintage Stony, New Years Day

Vintage Car and Motorcycle Festival at Stony Stratford, near Milton Keynes.
Met up with a few MMA peeps - most surprising of which was Ivor (ex-chairman, if you're quite new here). Great to see you Ivor and hopefully see a bit more of you now you're back on the mainland!
Also bumped into Roger Keys and saw Skippy, Ade Worman and Terry Redburn were there, but only from afar!
Some pics....

Gosh. Didnt know that was such a big thing; easy striking distance too.
Looks like it brought Stony to a standstill !

Hi Morgan, yes it is a big 'do', we've known about it for a few years (i think this was the 10th or 11th) but we only got to it for the first time last year.
And yes they pretty much close the town centre for the day - all the car parks are closed to normal traffic and elsewhere parking restrictions are lifted. But on new years day that shouldn't be too much disruption for the locals!
Well worth a visit if you don't fancy Brooklands' New Years meet!

Excellent photos and what a selection. A friend who helps marshall the event said it was completely full 15 minutes before the official start time.
We missed it this year due to being in France, so pictures very welcome.
Love the Chevy fire engine and the Alfa 155.

Hi Matt - we got there about 9.15 (15 mins before the official start time) and the high street was already full so we headed / were directed to the main car park and got parked near the entrance as the majority of that was full too. Last year we got there a bit later and were one of the first to get parked in the high street  :dontknow:

Sorry to respond a bit late Rob and Stu, been sorting out the new house and making the garage larger!

Great to see you guys, saw Terry Redburn in his superb '66 Barracuda, saw Ade Worman in his Chally too, but both were searching for a place to park and I never saw them again...brilliant event and fantastic pix, as usual.
