Its cool to see how things like this end up, truly a needle in a haystack. I Remember reading a similar success story, of a guy rebuilding an old mopar (likely a sally or charger) and needed a new engine. Phoned a guy up halfway across the country after hearing he has a lot of old engines lying about wanting as close as possible to his original. Read off the VIN and the guy on the other end of the phone was looking right at his original engine.

Great story of son finding and buying Dad's old car and the proof of the power of internet forums and the Mopar Community.
I would like to find our family's old 1968 Mini Countryman but that is less likely to happen.
