honda boot lock

Not mopar i know but my boot lock is in the locked position and can't get it shifted so have had to tie it closed, not ideal, 2005 Honda civic sport, anyone any ideas?

sounds like its sized and when you tried to close it , it knocked the arm across. Press you open button and put something in the opening where the catch part goes." round screw driver and use it like the catch would do it should open .
Make sure you lubricate the lock mechanism after
