Throttle Cable or linkage ?

So finally got round to putting the phenolic(?) spacer in and trying to stop some of the boily-fuel thing as per the other thread.
This upward movement caused my throttle cable to not reach. I lashed it up but needs sorting properly.
If I buy the OEM it wont fit my bracket. But I can live with that.
I quite fancy a linkage setup. I've had nothing but trouble with throttle cables really. I kind of like the idea of being able to lift the pedal if it all goes wrong.
So Q1 - Recommendations for proper meaty cables - not this soft cheesecake braided Rubbish.
Q2 - Can you get linkage kits (No, I dont want to make one) ?
Q3 - If so, what, where, recommendations ?
Thanks Brain-trust.

I'm not aware of a bolt in linkage being available. I'm a big fan of them, light, fast acting, simple. I've built a couple and I'm about to do another.

OK. An eve research suggests Mancini Stock+1" is the most useful looking cable.
Cant remember if I like the speed of their shipping or not

Blue is fabricating a Rod action for my TR, I will post up pictures accordingly, but it will be while yet...

That's exactly what we're about to order

Wanna share the shipping ?
I’m broken until i get one and from what Pete/Blue say linkage feels a longer term goal. I still really like the idea though.

This is the mk1 version when I had a single carb on the Valiant, it's all very simple. The standard pedal doesn't really lend itself to modification so I replicate the mounting and ratio and then mess about with the architecture to suit. Not shown here is the very necessary adjustable pedal stop under the pad. Once that's set up you can stamp the pedal as hard as you like and nothing gets stressed or bent. Theres no bind in anything, how heavy or light the pedal feels is totally down to how heavy a return spring you choose to use.

Oh thats very elegant. I assumed it would be more like the old trans linkages, with 90degree rockers and multiple pivot points.
So its engineered to give a 'greater-than-needed' amount of travel and you then just adjust the pedal-stop to prevent 'over stamping'. Nice.
Did you bother doing anything to 'seal' the bulkhead ? (I dunno, silicon grommit or something) or is that a waste of time as it moves so much ?

When I rejigged it for the tunnel ram I used a Girling slave cylinder gaiter which does the trick.

Hi Morgan, yes can do. We're going to double check some dimensions tonight so I'll confirm tomorrow.
I've had a look into shipping and Mancini wont give a freight quote until you place the order! I was going to go for the 7-10 day option, assuming it would be cheaper than the 2, 3, 4-6 day options. I'll ask for a quote and also how the 7-10 day option compares with the other shipping 10 choices!
Did you see this chart? To confirm, it's CC-370 we were going for...

Yes, CC-370.
Agree - see what the options are. I dont mind if we just use our combined order to go faster. Whatevers best. I still have the old SB cable (which is 12.5" H dimension as opposed to the desired 14" H dimension on the chart). I can lash this into place with a little extender for now. The engineering I need to do for the mounting will be the same either way.
So have a measure, let me know, you can order or I will. I trust ya either way
Blue - Thats perfect. I was thinking too literally with the rod sliding rather than just compressing a gator. I need to learn to weld. The actual rods and linkage endpieces seem to be fairly readily available.
