who's up for seeing if their brass monkey can still stop their balls rolling all over the deck when its really cold....!

well its usually the first weekend of the year where we all agree that camping was not the best idea and wouldn't it be nice to get:--

Winnebago
caravan
awning
wind break
umbrella
quiff
big boots
half yer face tattooed
ford model T
chicken and chips cos those spring rolls are a bit too hot ..... i think they've been microwaved....i do....

delete as appropriate

Its usually a very good weekend...one presumes cabin fever will have boosted numbers

... you forgot "A massive Anchor chain to attach your empty wallet to the flimsy bit on your Jeans", of which...

At least 9" must be turned up to meet regulation height.....

...We are all individuals....

Can't make it this time as I am at Duxford for the 80th "Battle of Britain" event - I sure as hell won't make the 100th!!!!

Have a good time you crazy kids....

Got an option. Dont think likely to camp though. (and that was before learning of the threat of Dave999s monkey-brass...)

Hoping to. One day only means no camping hassles.
Probably in a Chevrolet not a Mopar.

I assume the government limit on social gatherings coming in on Monday is going to kick this into touch?

I thought this might scupper car events, even if they claim to be Covid secure.

Have to wait for Santa Pod to announce but from what's being said on the news it doesn't sound promising.

We are being bombarded this morning with letters from the county and emails and texts and schools.
There are some pretty solid words in there - the gist is "Stop socialising now or we will lock you down" but they are very clear on gatherings of more than 30 people. I know its a different county, but by Monday the law shifts again anyway.
Doesnt look too promising :( - although (and this bit I think is important) - it does say "without proper risk assessment or approval" - so if HRD has this then potentially OK.

It also suggests the car meet I was at last night was illegal (london Colney. They even had a band!) Now this says that was illegal. Wish I hadnt written my phone number down for track-n-trace at the bar now !

in case you didn't know tickets are 'pre booked' only, there is no 'on the gate' entrance at all. go on the santa pod website to book tickets but don't leave it too late as numbers may be limited. also if camping take all your supplies as if you leave site you can't go back in.
neil.

I think the "without proper risk assessment or approval" night be where Santa Pod can continue as they have done that.
Also pubs that have events that are risk assessed may be OK too, such as the one locally that is having a cruise to it once a month.
It needs some clarification, but also makes me think that there will be more garage time again soon, and less getting out time.

Airfix beckons!!
