My very good friend Brent from Winnipeg in Canada has been staying with me for the last week and it was great to spend some real quality time with him.

He's is a Mopar fan (particularly C Bodies) and is a keen collector of vintage model kits. On arrival, he presented me with this as a gift. He had built it and had carried it over on his flight!!!!

It is absolutely beautifully finished and Brent's attention to detail is stunning. He made small custom detail changes including the addition of plug leads that actually connect to the distributor in the correct firing order and a vac advance pipe etc. The textures of the frame paint, manifolds etc are as per the real thing and the paint is just like a miniature version of a real paint job. Truly stunning! It has a lovely display case too and will take pride of place in my collection of treasures that mean a lot to me.

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

Cheers Gents, glad you like it. Brent has a very impressive collection of unopened vintage kits (Jo-han etc) and lots of period Mopar race car kits. He is very meticulous and it really shows in the Chevy :thumbright:

Cheers Dave, yeah, it's a very nice colour. Hard to describe the quality of the paint. It's like a scale paint job if that makes sense. I remember painting kits when I was a kid and they always looked like the paint was the same as a full size car unless it was matt on planes
