NEC Classic Motor Show 2022, Saturday, photos
We took a ride down to the NEC Saturday. Headed straight for hall 5. The MMA cars looking resplendent as always. Sorry we didn’t have chance to chat, the guys on the stand were deep in conversation when we visited and we were on minutes.
Seems to be more and more to see each year, either that or we’re getting slower. We traversed the halls in reverse order, and all was going well until we arrived in hall 1 at 6pm, closing time, attempted to have a quick run round but were captured and encouraged towards the exit by a burly security operative, damn.
Nevertheless, another fantastic show and some awesome cars.
Was determined not to take any photos this year … unless I saw some Mopars, or other American or Hot Rods, or some fast Fords, or Andy Saunders Deja, or something else I really liked and other cool stuff …
Here’s just a small selection …

Great pics as per usual Simon. I don't know how you managed to get around as much as you did in one day.
Yes there did seem to be more than usual?
For some reason that VW van / caravan made me smile. I didn't notice the 'dealer badge' that you captured. Very clever.
Oh and on the Sunday, Andy Saunders was wearing a matching 'blouse' ie purple to match the Riley.

Great pics.I too said I wouldnt take any this year. Failed miserably.
Only did Friday and managed to get around every hall, still missed a few things but not much.
Finally caught up with the MMA guys at 5.30pm, so didn't leave until 6.30, once it was totally empty, so a better chance to photograph the three yellow Avenger Tigers again with no people in the way.
A great day out, excellent display by the club again, very enjoyable all round.

Imagine the reaction if we could get 3x Superbirds on the MMA stand!
We can all dream

We managed it at Brooklands a couple of times so I don't see why not, maybe even 4.

At risk of stating the obvious, the problem with having cars on a stand at the NEC is that the owner needs to drive or transport the car to the NEC and have it there for at least 4 days, with whatever cost and time off work that involves for the owner.
I know Brooklands is a relatively easy journey for at least 2 Superbird owners but suspect the NEC is far enough away to put most off. Unfortunately

Fair point.
