NEC Classic Motor Show 2024 (Friday)
Posted: Sun Nov 10, 24 7:10 pm
We chose the Friday again, as we usually do, cos it's usually a bit quieter, but it did seem busier than usual - maybe cos they've now started discounting Friday advance tickets as well as the Sat & Sun
And we usually buy the car park ticket in advance too but thought we'd leave it up to chance, as the barriers are usually left up by the time we leave and thankfully it paid off this time - so that was £18.95 saved!
Once inside, after negotiating the HS2 roadworks
we made a beeline for the MMA stand but first we stopped off at the Classic American stand as Jason's hemi Coronet caught our eye, having been buffed and polished to within an inch of its life... or a thou of its paint thickness
Over at MMA central, Scotty Dave was doing a fine job of manning the stand and no doubt having to explain to the general public why Tommy's 'bird had a silly wing and pointy nose
Mark's Barracuda was a great choice too and thanks to Dave, we didn't have a gap on the stand after Seyhan had to pull his 'project' Charger due to work commitments.
Didnt manage to get around all the Halls this year, so we missed the Meguiars display and the other glamorous clubs in Hall 1 and the Fords in Hall 8, but we did order a set of wheel dollies for the garage, so it wasn't a wasted trip
It was good to see the MOCGB has a few of the new Mach E 'city cars' on display, as well as the usual Mustangs...
