Got a pic with the bird poo covered Bon Scott statue?

Had a Holden panel pan when I was there similar, straight 6 , indestructable. Went from Darwin - Ayres Rock , N.Queensland almost to Cooktown on roads they reckoned only 4x4's could go on, then down to Sydney and sold it to a Kiwi who didn't realise cars were cheaper in OZ. The one to have was the V8 or the saloon Monaro V8

Thanks for the info Dave.... I saw one of the station wagons that Mad Max had and his wife drove in his first film but couldnt get a picture.
Saw the Bon Scott statue yesterday before a pint in a local bar. Busy but nice here, quite quirky. Weather much better than Scotland!!!!!
Great story Mike
Here on holiday visiting my good ladies daughter and family in Perth. Off to see my two youngest who live in Sydney tomorrow for a few days then back to Perth for another week. Im loving the fact that almost everything interesting has a V8 in it. Have heard about that place Kev but no plans to go there at the moment.
Will post anything else I see. Here are a few models I saw in a shop.
Cheers

Cheers Rich, will do. Apparently there is a car show in Perth just before we leave so hoping to go to that and see some more. Im in Sydney now and havent seen anything interesting.
I love the post box Mike. I made a table out of a crankshaft and an old scrap piece of mahogany but the box trumps it by a mile

Looks like your having a great holiday Steve, I guess you needed the rest.
I like Manly, been there a few times. My cousin works there and lives up the coast in Mona Vale. We stayed in a cabin in Narabeen when visiting.
Handy for Sydney, Manly ferry and the Blue Mountains. There's a nice coastal walk up to Bondi from Clovelly (not the one in Devon

)
Nice weather for Autumn eh?

We are really enjoying it Stu.
I had a few days with my two youngest kids in Sydney. It was a bit manic but great. Did loads of coast walks around Coogee, Bronte, Bondi etc. Very busy but a great experience. Wasnt easy leaving the kids as you would imagine.
Off to an AFL game tonight. Anzac day here so should be a bit special hopefully. Been a great break from building etc so hoping to go home fully refreshed next week
