That’s just what I was thinking Andy. Considering the iffy weather that was forecast (and therefore the low attendance) and the Gestapo-like security check points, I really enjoyed the weekend.
Some great cars to see racing, showing & shining and catching up with lots of friends.
We even did the cruise for the first time in a few years.
I’d post some photos but they’re probably just like poor photocopies of Rob’s.

What were the Gestapo security checks? I didn't experience any apart from the ususual keep your speed down signals in the pits?

Strangely they didn't look in any trunks for passengers or glass, but they did prevent us from parking in our usual spot round the pits side of the track. Because we didn't book 'racers' tickets we had to stay on the 'family' side. In the end it was fine, we had our own toilet (hedge behind us), but it would have been nice to have the choice to be pit-side if we booked RWYB on the day.
Oh well Santa Pod taking over our meeting a bit more each year.
Oh and they didn't give out bin bags or 'programmes' unless you ask.

Yes I noticed no bin bags or programs. I thought maybe the programs had been done away with as its all "On Line". I'm sure the sponsors may take a dim view. Do you know if there are any credits being issued for the bad weather?

I asked for a bin bag and a program at the gate and got both, all be it at different times.

Couldn’t make it but looking forward to all the pics there’s certainly interest from me

I was hoping to come over with Martin (he made it on Sunday) but the boss had arranged a “birthday weekend’ of various things, so couldn’t make it in the end..71 and still standing!

Thanks Del and Stu, yes that was the plan to come over and catch up, but the birthday boy was treated to a weekend of fun and frolics elsewhere!
