Hi guys,

I'm trying to find out whether my car came with hockey stick stripes from new? (1970 383 'cuda).

Should there be a code on the fender tag, or did all 'cudas come with these stripes as standard?

Post a pic of the fender tag and we will let you know it depends on location on the tag as well as code

About to get shot down, but I thought they came with them but could have a delete option - I know '71's could be "Billboard Delete"... i await to be corrected.

I've heard conflicting reports, but as far as I can tell there's no Vxx code to show a stripe, nor is there a 'stripe delete' code?

No stripe delete code either. So the stripe was not standard?

My Cuda didn't come with a hockey stripe either. Mine came originally with a horrible side moulding (V5W) Yuk! (that didn't get included when the car was restored.)

V6W would have been a white hockey stripe, - except Mopar never offered a hockey stripe in white, - only V6X:- black.

But why not put a hockey stripe on it anyway? I see your car is EB5, one of my favourite colours. It would look brilliant with a black hockey stripe. I would.

I'm definitely tempted with the stripes as I do think they accent the bodyline nicely. This was a half-hypothetical, half-'shall I do it?' kind of question!

I'll have to have a think on this some more...

Pete, where on the buildsheet will I see the ' Billboard delete ' . Do they always mention that?
