I am going to have a glass hood and scoop made, I have twin 650's on a tunnel ram, height from the bench to the highest point on top of the carbs is
16 3/4 inches. How tall does the scoop need to be? It's for a 66 coronet.

There is no other way to work that out than by direct measurement Jon. Need to sort out what filters you are going to use and take your measure ment with those fitted. Then place a long straight length of wood across the engine bay on top of the wings and take your measurement from the top of the engine to see how far through the bonnet the carbs will sit, you need to do this at the front and rear of the engine. Once you know that you know how high the scoop needs to be. What style of scoop have you got in mind?
