Hey guys.

This is a bit of a silly question but - those of you who cruised to the Duxford meet from various places....about what fuel consumption did you achieve ??

Just curious.

Coolio 8-)

If you're asking about fuel consumption, you shouldn't be buying a car like this

:iagree:
Its Smiles per Gallon :)
If you really want to save fuel stick a 2bbl carb on :roll:and a Flowmaster exhaust.
I dont know what i get?i just know that it is less than my last car.
I have a 360 double pumper carb and 3.91 axle..it could be worse i could have a 4.10 :D but then it would be even more fun

.....Only curious guys 8-)

I've never had 'sesible' cars so it's not an issue, I just wondered what these cars do - not having driven mine yet - purely out of curiosity.

Thinking back, my Supra was VERY juicy I remember...even when driven economically. Nice looking car though.

I drove down like an idiot and had a placid cruise home and got about 18mpg out of my 318

Dunno, stuck £45 in it and it used most of that (well the gauge is telling me it did, I have no idea if it's right). That was Coventry - Duxford and back

It is all very well claiming consumption is not important when you have umpteen shows per summer on your doorstep.

It is pretty important when you have to travel real distances.

100 miles doesn't even get us into the right country ;)

okay, M.O.T this week 8-)

Is it best to use a fuel octane boost?

Is normal unleaded okay (seats are hardened ;) ) or do most people opt for super unleaded or even four star ?(replacement stuff)
