After taking my car out and struggling with my old ratchet shifter, i've decided to buy a new click shift. Just wanted opinions on performance , suggestions as to where to buy in UK or US, and does it come with all parts needed.

Although using a ratchet is good fun and easy....to be honest i don't trust them.
I prefer the indent type of shifter with the big trigger. Basically it is nice and simple in construction and it can't really go wrong. I have our line lock wired up to the button on the top.
However people do come up to me at shows and comment on how much they like my hand brake.....

Art carr or a Winters gate shifter is my preference, you can kick 'em hit 'em do your worst they are nigh on indestructible! can't miss a gear and as an added bonus the heavy duty shift cable connects to the trans from the rear so you can say goodbye to cables getting burnt by the headers, I wouldn't use anything else

I use a cheetah
i used to have a winters and it worked great, but i took it out cause it looked like it belonged in a tractor
cheetah works on a similar principle anyway

Yes a Cheetah is basically the same thing sexed up a bit, I agree the Winters does look a bit agricultural but I like it! Dosn't the cable still come in from the front on a Cheetah? Have you still got the Winters shifter Jon? be interested in buying it if you have.

cant remember, might have been summit, the cover didn't come with it as i found out when it turned up, I think its because you can get different covers with switches in etc.
cables and brackets were with it though

Is it a front or rear cable, how long was the delivery from Summit and are you happy with it.
