I did get a number off sean68, but they were less than helpful - wanted all the parts for 5 weeks before they could start. I dont mind a 5 week lead time before they start, but I dont see why I cannot pay a deposit to 'hold my slot' and continue to use car in the meantime ! ! "Company policy" apparently !
Anyway, back to the plot.
Sorry for the repetition -
What I am looking for is a Chroming service that can do my whole Charger. (well, not the whole charger. Although....

). Trim items , mirrors, bumpers etc all pitted and need refinishing.
Anyone recommend anywhere ? Herts/bucks area preferred...
Thanks -

Have a word with Neil Willet, he was bringing in exchange rechromed bumpers from the states a while back, quality was excellent and prices seemed resonable. As for getting stuff done over here, I don't know, all the places local to me have packed it in, perhaps someone like John Castleman (jpc. auto) would know of a good one, it's a service he would need.

Thanks chaps - I'll mail JPC and await info on the others... - Much obliged !
Sean - yeah, I was surprised.
I mentioned you and all, and the lady said they are booking 5 weeks ahead at the moment, but they could not book me in until they actually had the parts there. This wasn't for prep, they just wanted them there.
I explained that I wanted to use the car and that it would only take me a week to get the trims off, and that I was happy to pay a deposit in the meantime to 'hold my slot'.
That was when I got told that they wouldn't do it, "company policy".
Maybe I just spoke to the wrong person - I will try again tomorrow. As I said, dont mind the delay, but I dont see why I should take the car off the road for 5 weeks for the parts to sit there not even being prepped !

i did have my trims/chromework done in the winter (buisiest time you would have thought) and it took about 5 weeks for them to do the lot.
speak to peter there he was helpful
other than that just wait to the end of the show season.
they charged me £520 plus vat to do the whole lot (all bright work, chrome work inc tail lights) and they repaird the dents in the bumpers, and done a very good job
