On the 66 coronet 273 the autobox has pack up.Its never been great at pulling away but now after half mile of driving it loses all power in all gears and reverse it judders,when it cools down its aright for for half a mile. Any ideas?

would a 727 box from a small block be a straight swop ?

When I went from 904 to 727 I had to shorten the prop.I would imagine you will have the same problem..

Yep, prop too long for sure.....very long tail shaft on the 727, idea was to reduce the prop length to make it less flexible I think?
