Another Carbatooter Question.

I've just fitted a single plane to me 318. All jetting is the same as when it had a dual plane. What carb settings need changing (if any) as it seems a little woolly, or is this a factor of a single plane? It's got an off idle stumble so I may go up on the shooter. Any comments welcome (if related to the question  )

With a dual plane each cylinder only 'sees' one half of the carb so airlow through the carb is faster giving a sharper throttle response.

Now each cylinder is seeing the whole carb. This drops the air speed in the carb but allows more flow in the higher rpms. So throttle response will not be as good. Jetting should be about the same but more pump shot will be needed to make the throttle more 'snappy' and to get rid of that bog.

Aha! A perfect reply. Thanks Dave!
